Full Record: KEGG
Short NameKEGG
Full NameKyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes
URLhttp://www.genome.jp/kegg/
Last ObservedFebruary 22nd, 2017
DescriptionA large database of metabolic pathways from multiple organisms. Reference pathways are available that describe a general pathway, which is then projected onto a genome based on the presence of pathway enzymes in that genome. KEGG is actually composed of a number of databases: PATHWAY, GENES, LIGAND, DISEASE, and DRUG. Some information on molecular complexes and signaling pathways is present, although mainly in diagram form.
